With over 15 years of coaching & playing experience, Coach Fuca has been a head coach at the High School & Collegiate levels as well as playing professionally. Currently, Fuca is the Lakeshow Director, a Bay Area-based AAU program who's helped over 150 student-athletes play collegiately since 2005. Before coming to Prolific Prep, he also spent one year as the Graduate Assistant for Eric Musselman at the University of Nevada Reno where he helped in the guard's player development & recruiting director.
Prior to his coaching experience, Coach Fuca played two seasons professionally in Frankfurt & Munich, Germany. In 2014 Fuca earned MVP in Germany Pro Bundesliga after pouring in 23ppg. Joey graduated from the Master's College in 2007 after joining the 1,000pt scoring club & earning NAIA All American awards.
Fuca resides in Danville with his wife Kelly, former SJSU volleyball player & son JJ.
Philippe Doherty is currently the program’s director of operations at Prolific Prep. He was the program’s first official head coach in the program’s inaugural year in 2014-2015 but for the last 2 years has helped run the operations for Prolific Prep which includes scheduling, travel, academics, and helps with recruiting and community relations.
Coach Doherty was born in France and lived in West Africa as a child but was raised in San Francisco. He is fluent in 3 languages and has a wealth of playing and coaching experience having spent the last 18 years coaching NCAA Division 1, high school, and elite-level AAU basketball.
Philippe also helped develop NBA 1st Round Pick Jared Cunningham (2012 1st Rounder), NBA lottery pick Marquese Chriss, who was drafted 8th overall in the June 2106 NBA draft, and Josh Jackson who was drafted 4th overall in the 2017 NBA draft. Furthermore, Philippe has also coached multiple NFL players who played for him in AAU. Players like TE Zach Ertz of the Philadelphia Eagles, DB Trumaine Johnson of the St. Louis Rams, and TE Julius Thomas of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Philippe Doherty played at Santa Clara University in 1995-1997 for Coach Dick Davey where he was a member of two WCC championship teams in 1995-96 and 1996-97, one of which (95-96) advanced to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament with 2 Time NBA MVP and Future Hall of Famer Steve Nash and that team entered the Santa Clara Hall of Fame in the Spring of 2017. Philippe also was teammates in college with current Philadelphia 76ers asst. coach Lloyd Pierce and with current Phoenix Suns asst. coach Marlon Garnett.
Coach Doherty also coached Division 1 basketball for 4 years at the University of San Francisco from 2002-2006 under head coaches Phil Mathews and Jessie Evans.
Anthony Gonzalez, Suisun City Native, joins the coaching staff in his first season at Prolific Prep. Before joining the Prolific Prep staff, Anthony spent time in England where he played basketball at the University of Nottingham competing in the BUCS and NBL leagues. Whilst in England he obtained his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership & Management.
Prior to his time in England, Anthony was a student-athlete at NAIA San Diego Christian College. Anthony graduated from SDCC cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, while competing for the Men’s Basketball team and fulfilling his duties as the college’s Student Body President.
Anthony graduated from Vacaville High school in 2013 as a 3 sport athlete competing in basketball, football, and track & field. Anthony hopes to bring high energy and insight to the program; and prides himself in creating relationships with the players, and helping the program and players grow on and off the court.
Jon McCall comes to the Program with 10 years of Strength & Conditioning Experience. Jon is a Fairfield Native who played at Armijo High School before playing 2 years at Solano Community College. Currently, he is Certified in the National Exercise & Sports Exercise Association but a lot of his Expertise comes from his own passion and ambition to learn everything he could about the body & how it functions. Furthermore, Jon has learned not only to how to build the body up but also how to help the body recover after the strenuous workouts or parts of the season. Jon travels with the Prolific Prep team, focusing on pre-hap, re-hab, stretches & dynamic Warm Up before games. After games he goes from room to room for post-game treatment with stretching, massages, as well as rehab work needed for the players.

We are happy to announce Humphrey Jackson to the GSP coaching Staff. Coach Jackson is from Oakland, California and played his high school ball at Woodside High School were he was a 3 time league champion. After High School he spent his freshman season at Utah State University were the 23-7 Aggies made the NCAA tournament. Coach Jackson then transferred back home and was an All League and State performer at Foothill Junior College, where he was one of the top scorers in the conference. After that, he then went on to receive a basketball scholarship to Southern Oregon University were he was the conference leader in assist for 2 seasons, while finishing top 10 all time in SOU history in assist.
For the past 5 years he has been a vital part in AAU with Team Arsenal one of the top programs on the west coast, coaching and training helping players receive scholarships. Furthermore, Humphrey will be a house leader at our off-campus housing.
Nick Sullivan, a resident of Walnut Creek, is in his first season on at the GSP Staff. After graduating from De La Salle High School in Concord, CA in 2012, he received a scholarship to play basketball at NAIA Northwest Christian University located in Eugene, Oregon. Sullivan helped guide NCU to a pair of NAIA National Tournament berths as well as a league championship and a conference championship in 2016. Before coming to Golden State Prep, Nick was an assistant at his Alma Mater, Northwest Christian University. His duties including scouting, game planning responsibilities, assisted in the player development program, and directed the team's video operations and statistical analysis. The Beacons finished 3rd in conference with a 19-10 record. Prior to that, Nick coached in Xi’an, China at the United State Basketball Academy focusing on player development. Additionally, he assisted in the management of USBA and formulated practice plans.
Nick graduated from NCU in 2016 with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Interpersonal Communication. Nick is a high energy, tireless worker that has a passion for helping players reach their full potential on and off the court. Furthermore, Nick will also be one of our house leaders on our off-campus housing facility.
Preston Paulson arrives to Golden State Prep fresh off his second year from the NBA Summer League as team assistant staff member for the Miami Heat Preston has had a wide basketball journey from the Minnesota Timberwolves as a Basketball Operations intern, Assistant Student Coach at Minnesota State University Mankato Men’s Basketball Team, and personal trainer for basketball players ranging of all ages and skill levels (from youth to collegiate/professional levels).
Preston’s lifelong commitment to player development in skills, character and teamwork also brought him to Brooklyn Park Youth Program where he served as a youth worker/event coordinator who organized and led the basketball camps/clinics for the city.
Preston graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato with a major in Sport Management and a minor in Coaching. His love of the game makes him a constant student of the game by attending the TPG Pro Scout School and participating in the online courses provided through HoopsAssist (both programs led by former/current NBA executives).
Ryan Sypkens is a Sacramento native who has an immense passion for the game of basketball, helping others, and sharing his expertise for the greater good. Ryan is the lead skills trainer for both Prolific Prep and Golden State Prep.
Directly following his high-school career, he enrolled into UC Davis and worked his way into the starting line-up a few games into freshman season. He then went on to break the single-game, single-season, and career three-point record at UC Davis as well as the Big West Conference all-time career three point record while leading the nation in three-point percentage his Junior campaign. Following his career at UC Davis, he went on to play professionally in Colombia, South America and Tokyo, Japan.
Ryan a teacher, yet always a student. He is a Certified Performance Psychologist, an expert in shooting mechanics, and a skill development specialists. He completed his Masters in Business Administration and is an avid entrepreneur. He has been a wonderful mentor to many and has found a great passion in sharing his experience, expertise, and philosophy.
Originally from Vallejo, CA, Amir moved to Sacramento, where he also played at Franklin High School with Prolific Prep's own Ryan Sypkens.
Following a stellar high school career, Amir enrolled at Chico State . Carraway was able to lead Chico State to a conference championship, three-straight NCAA tournament appearances, and a Western Region championship, in which he was the tournament's Most Oustanding Player, a first in school history. Amir is the all-time leading scorer in CCAA tournament history and is in the top 10 in points, three pointers made, blocked shots, FTs made, FT percentage, and games played despite playing for only three seasons.
Following his career at Chico State, Carraway went on to play professionally for three seasons in Germany, following a tour in Colombia, in which they won the 2017 Liga DirectTV Championship. His team then went on to play Liga Sudamericana, an international cup against the top teams throughout South America. Carraway was awarded 1st-Team All-Import in Colombia and Honorable Mention in Liga Sudamericana.
Amir graduated from Chico State with a degree in Business Finance.
Elimane Diallo is a Sacramento native that has an immense passion for the game of basketball. He is an ultimate student of the game and has always been considered a basketball savant amongst his peers. After graduating from Franklin High School in Elk Grove, CA in 2007, he received a scholarship to play Basketball at NCAA D2 University Notre Dame De Namur located in Belmont, CA. He would go on and finished his collegiate career at the University of Waterloo located in Toronto, Canada, in 2014 where he received his degree in Psychology. Elimane is tireless and is a vital piece for the Prolific/GSP program.
